Time to Get Crackin!

My creative energy has been taking the slow train as of late. I have bits of ideas rolling around but the whole package just hasn't arrived yet. Oh, well. I know better than to push things. So for now, I'm just enjoying the ride.

Yesterday I went to the public market with some artsy friends and got a few things to make two yummy meals...Carrot Dogs (yesterdays lunch) and asparagus soup (todays dinner)....Then Heather took me to her friends studio where I met John, an iron worker who does some amazing things. Check out his website and see the cool objects he creates.

He had tons of great furniture pieces, garden objects and other odds & ends. This is one of his tables that I loved...

After that I headed home and made sure everything was set for my Earring Party. Boy was that fun. I had 6 ladies and we just had a great time making earrings and laughing lots. Stacey knew EXACTLY what she wanted to do and got right to work. Shrinky Dinks were a fun featured project that surprisingly only some took part in. How can you not do Dinks??

Now its just simple....its time to get crack-a-lackin and get things made. My muse must get pushed just a wee bit since my Gallery Trunk show is just weeks away!!

Two New Vessels

I made these a few weeks back...colorful and fun. I'm working on a bracelet right now since my studio is a little chilly. The bracelet is sweet. This one will be for me since its my first but I have great plans for some more! I'll take a pic tonight and show you. The sun is shining and I want to go for a bike ride no matter if I have to wear gloves or not! Love that sun!

Girls Night With BEADS!

Last night, Heidi hosted a Bella Bead Party and I have to say....it was great! All of Heidi's friends were so enthusiastic and fun loving that it just made the whole night fly by. I didn't bring my camera so I don't have anything to show but they each made a piece of jewelry that they love. The amazing part of this wonderful group of women is that they are, for the most part, neighbors! Wish I had that kind of neighborly love!

A few ladies last night decided to book parties too. I'm delighted that I'll be able to work with that fun group of friends again soon!

Birds, Buttons and other stuff...

The bird theme has been in my head for about a year...yup, I do procrastinate. I've got ideas that just take there time pushing forward thats all. Well, bird buttons and bird beads are what I've been up to as of late. I made a bunch before vacation but never had time to put them up. Yesterday the buttons sold so I made a few more... the beads are just too darn cute. I still need to clean them and then I can take their picture. Look for more Bird Buttons in my Etsy shop..

The other newish button style is my Paisley. Like it. Again, I will have these in my Etsy shop.

These beads are not all beauties but I wanted to show you my progression of a style. The top two, as you might guess, are my initial experiments. I decided I liked what came of these and then tried making them with more appealing colors....you might also notice that these beads are a spin off from my "jump rope" beads pictured on my main page of my website....
