Messing Around

Okay, I was suppose to post another Featured Artist today but I just had to show you what I've been messin' around with. I'll get back on track next Sunday :)

I've been doing lots of knitting. I made two baby hats for ladies at work who just had babies. Of course I had to add some of my glass work......I made my Baby Head buttons into Baby Pins. This can easily be removed and pinned to a sweater or jacket. I should have some in my Etsy shop soon.

I recently purchased a book at the Gallery store titled Kanzashi In Bloom. This is the Japanese art of folding fabric into three dimensionl flower petals. I love making my felt brooches but this style of pin will be great for the summer. Love this new option and plan on having these too in my Etsy shop...soon!

Okay this was just for pure FUN. Meet Tweedle De or is this Tweedle Dumb? Anyways, the movie Alice In Wonderland inspired this cute pendant. I feel another one coming soon.....I'd like to try a different style of arms. This was my first.....I still like him. I'm hoping my friend Marcy hasn't forgotten about making her Tweedle.......I can't wait to see what she does for arms. Maybe I'll get an idea from her.

I absoutely adore those little baby heads. The hat is darling as well. Your Tweedle Dee is cute too. I love anything Alice and Wonderland inspired.

The hats are so sweet and homemade all around is the best! The flower is frosting on the cake for a tshirt! Tweedle Dee rocks. Love your creativity.

Thanks ladies! I have been enjoying playing with other mediums...fabric and yarn.....I believe that moving away from your traditional medium helps to inspire ideas. That Tweedle is pure silliness.....which I love :)
